You knew you needed help

But why did you go there?

You knew it was illegal

But why did you buy it?

You knew it would hurt you

But why did you smoke it?

You knew you should stop

But why did you continue?

You knew that when you were caught you should’ve gave up

But why did you run?

You knew that when you tripped and fell on the street you should have just laid there

But why did you fight?

You knew that when they pulled the gun out it was over

But why didn’t you think before this all happened in the first place?

Why didn’t you go somewhere that was safe?

That was home.

Why didn’t you understand that you are special and that you mean the world to someone?

And if you don’t mean the world to someone then why am I writing this for you?

Why am I taking my time for you when I could be living my life?

Why am I trying to make you think before you hurt yourself?

Its because I love and care about you.

And no matter what…

I’ll be here cheering for you on the sidelines as you make your way through life.

And there is not a doubt in my mind that you will do great things and this is all worth it!
